Don’t regret the past

Making friends is a bit like opening a present. 

You don’t know what you’ll find inside. 

There’s anticipation and excitement when you see the wrapping paper. 

But what if you get inside and the box is empty? 

It doesn’t mean there wasn’t fun in getting the gift, it just means it wasn’t what it promised to be at the beginning. 

Later someone else might give you a gift that has something really precious inside. 

Don’t regret opening the present you got the first time. 

Don’t fear opening the next one and miss out on the joy that awaits you. 

Don’t wish you never tried. 

Lament that you weren’t valued for what you are worth. 

Know that you are worth infinitely more than you can understand. 

Don’t regret the past because someone dimmed your light. Make the future brighter for someone else instead.
